While in the Army back in the early 80's we went to the range for qualifing with our M16A1's, there also happened to be an M.I. company firing AK47's and after we were done with qualification, for whatever reason, we were allowed to fire a few rounds from their AK's. Looking for any info on, 3rd Panzerjager Abt. of Infantry Division Ulrich von Hutten. During the battle for Berlin the CO may have been a Hauptmann Schneider.

Turret traverse motor
On late model Panzer IVJ's the turret motor was deleted to make room for a larger fuel tank. Does anyone know the reasoning behind this? I mean the deletion of the turret motor and going with a hand crank seems like one of the last things you would want to do.
