"Das Reich"
I just got lucky and picked up a pb copy of "Das Reich" for a coupla bucks. I never read any of Hastings work, but it sure sounds like I'm in for a treat. Has anyone read "Steel Inferno" by Michael Reynolds?

Book
"Hunters from the Sky" is another. It covers the whole war though. But a good bit is about the airborne drop on Crete. It has a lot of good stuff about the Fallschirmjager(sp). I will sell it to you if interested.

"Goodbye Transylvania"
It's about a Transylvanian Saxon's growing up and wartime adventures. He was a civillian Luftwaffe employee, then in a flak crew, then in the Waffen SS! A remarkable story. I am lucky enough to have a copy. I took over a year. Russ Schnieder quoted it in "Gotterdammerung 1945" and highly r...

Jason is selling hardcover books for $130.00 US. An object is only worth what someone will pay for it. It's a great book. Well worth the money, if you can afford it and have an interest. Be advised that the initial price was something like 40 bucks 2 years ago. The price will only go up. Cheers, Jeff.

Help with Himmler quote.
This is from the book, "Goodbye, Transylvania." by Heinz Landau. In the book he said this is what Himmler said to him as he was giving him a death's head ring. "Hals und Beinbruch, Landau, machen Sie weiter. Heil Hitler." Can anyone tell me what this means?
Cheers, Jeff.

"Goodbye Transylvania" by S.H. Landau
I just got this one :D It's been on my wish list for over a year. It was referenced a bit by Russ Schneider in "Gotterdammerung 1945" I am reading it now. It was quite steep, so I will probably sell it when I am done with it. I am in the process of starting my own plumbing contracting busi...

I agree with Wiking
Wiking,
your review of "Siege" was dead on. The flow did get bogged down a bit when Kordts inner workings were revealed in too much detail. I guess it worked though, because his death shocked me. I was moved enough to honor Mr. Schneider by stealing his character's name.
Cheers, Jeff.
