Re: Russian Front Medal
The ribbon of the medal looked like this: http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Orden/Bilder/b032.JPG A landsers slogan about the medal and its ribbon goes like that: ""In der Mitte die Straße, außen der Schnee, und um uns herum die Rote Armee." In the middle of the street, snow on the ...

Re: Reiter-Regiment Post Card
Had a closer lokk at the stamp, and for me it seems the stamp says "Neuhaus".
The N_UHAUS are readable, and im pretty sure the 2nd letter is an U.

Re: Bohmische Waffenfabrik
Does the stamp look like that?
Then it was issued to Police or other security forces as Gestapo for example.
Hard to say about the other stamp you mention without seeing it.

World War I postcards
Hello dear Feldgrau members. I could need help in making out the back text of these very old postcards. My grand-grand-grandfather wrote them during ww1, and the pencil written text is hard to make out nowadays. I know some lines are impossible to read, but maybe someone has a tipp how to make the t...

Re: Bohmische Waffenfabrik
If the gun has a "76" next to the Reichsadler, it was issued to the Wehrmacht. Most probably to an officer.
If its stamped "H" or "HK" next to Reichsadler, the gun was issued to Police.

Re: Vehicle colors
I think the most common color was Black blue or dark blue, as the name says a very dark blue tone. Other possible colors, Feldgrau #2-3, olive green. The Wehrmacht used more green or brown camo on their vehicles, especially on vehicles in front use. The Kriegsmarine had not such great need for camou...

Re: Translation for Gefechtsruderganger.
The Rudergänger (steersman) is the sailor that actually control the ship via the steering wheel. The commander or an officer tells him the course to drive, and he will steer in the right direction. The Gefechtsrudergänger was the best Rudergänger/steersman on the ship, also he had to be a calm perso...

Re: unknown
Just a guess from my side, the guy on the left looks like a navy member, and the gun
seems to be an italian AA gun in coastal defense position. I try to find a specification!

Re: SS kriegsberichter Nonnenmacher
"He was not allowed" might be a bit to hard as it sounds like he was punished for being too late. But yes, it says he cannot finish the course as he missed too much "learning material" in the beginning and will not be able to close this gasp. About the courses i can only guess, a...

Re: SS kriegsberichter Nonnenmacher
Hello foundy. The document says Nonnenmacher had to leave the Lehrgang/training in Bad Tölz, and was commanded to another Lehrgang, 11. Kriegs-Reserveführungsanwärter-Lehrgang (Wartime Reserve Command trainee, what a word :) ) at SS-Pz.Gren.Schule Prosetschnitz, beginning on 10.1.44. The paper also ...
