8/KG26 was based from Poix Nord France. at that time. RAF claims i have found so far are 1 HE111 over the north sea for that date will keep lookiing.

According to Finnish archive they have a list of 502 German soldiers who died. they are hussars not sure on there rank most regiments had there own pattern i am sure it can be figured out just take some time, noticed its an odd pattern on soldier on the left, kinda standard but the corner is different from most

They were used till the end of the war, manufacture was stopped in 1937 i believe.
The 9mm versions are not to hard to find just hard to afford.

Gerhard i believe atrocities where done by all, mostly on individual circumstance as far as soldiers go, but this author claims the allies planned to kill german soldiers in pow camps and that is crap.
