Thanks for the update.
We are taking a different approach.
Using a fired flare round, drilling a primer pocket and using a shoutgun primer or large rifle primer, balck powder under cork wadding.
Will keep you posted.

The Allies on the other hand continue to believe that World War 2 was a more defining moment than the crucifixion of Jesus Christ . . . . Sources please. Are you really a college or graduate school student, because your posts are frequently sophomoric? If you were one of my students you would fail....

Apparently many Americans when asked why they cannot subdue the Iraqis in Najaf and Fallujah when the Russians found victory against the incredible might of the Wehrmacht at Stalingrad have replied that Stalingrad was NOTHING compared to Fallujah and Najaf. Also they had identification letters on their shoulder boards. I am away from my sources now, but if you can get Da...

On Dec 8 1941 the US Congress declared war against Japan. 2 or 3 days later Hitler declared war against the US. In response the US Congress declared a state of war against Germany. If Hitler had not declared war against the US, then the question is open to US involvement in Europe. The allies decide...

US Jeeps (MB or GPW) in German Use
I tried searching for a thread (thought I had seen it on this forum) with a picture or two of US Jeeps in use by German forces, but could not find it.
Would you point me in the right direction or to a place that has those pictures?

But if both pilots have the same level of skill, then the machine they are riding will make the difference. Skill level does not matter. Randy Cunningham shot down the NV leading air ace. The NV pilot had 23 or more kills, Cunningham got his 5th when shooting him down. Say you take 2 pilots both wi...

Flare Pistols & Fighter Pilots
Looking at Davis' book on Luftwaffe uniforms I noticed a few pictures of fighter pilots wearing bandoleers of flares around their boot tops. What was the intent of loading down a pilot with so many flares? Were they used as signals in the air before engaging in combat, or intended for use as signal ...
