Re: Retake Arnhem Bridge by Gerritsen/Revell

Is there a book dealer in north america where this book can be purchased? Not at this stage. I believe there is some negotiating between the publisher and a dealer but nothing is set at this stage. I do have a few in stock (less than 200 left I believe). So drop me an email and I can give you a quo...

Re: Date On Award Documents

Generally it is the date the award was written/awarded. Sometime this can be weeks/months after the event due to fighting etc.

Re: HG ers und aus abt Utrecht, deserters

Michiel01, This is a very difficult project indeed....bordering on impossible I would think. Not much is written on the Hermann Göring Training and Replacement Regiment based in Holland wich had some 12000 men in Aug 1944. Its commander, Oberst Fullreide did write a diary but this was after the war ...

Re: Invasion of Poland, 1939 - personal narratives

Hi Mansal, What is the research going towards...interest or publication of some sort...I was just curious. I was handed a Kampfbereicht of a Flak Hauptmann who details a day by day (nearly) account of his Flak Battery during the Polish Campaign. This Hauptmann went on to win the Knights Cross in 194...

Had to fire a Project Manager Tuesday, had the National GM and Sales Manager come to town to sort out another issue and a number of deals came through.....so the daily Feldgrau ritual has not been met this week for me. So firstly the book det...

Re: Status of 9+10th SS PAnzer Division Pre Arnhem

If you have read German Armor in Arnhem, the Frundsberg Divison with 10 Panters arrived in the Arnhem area from Grafenwoehr, Germany on September 21, 1944. This is the first time I had seen Frundsberg Tanks. However my Friend Willy Wagner was a Panther Tank Driver with the Pazerwart im Gold showing...

If this is the same unit? he once said that at Tarnopol pre Normandy they had 200men but only came back with 90.
He does not talk much about the war.
Love to know more!

Re: Project about SS soldier.

Phil got it right - Sicherung der Niederlande is security duties. SS-Pz. Jäg.-(A)-Abt. 2 was allocate to security duties and up until Sept 1944 was guarding a stretch of the Dutch Coast. The unit was commanded by SS-Sturmbannführer Johann Eigler and the 2nd Company was commanded by either Ostuf Seib...

Good to hear both Haen and wife are fighting fit (well the best they can). Shame to hear though the book is a little way off but it will come one day. John - thanks for visiting.
