Re: 6.SS-TK, Prague

Danke! That is good to know about the Lazarett, but you made me realize I wasn't specific enough.

I'm researching 6.SS-TK prior to 1940. They were stationed in Prague, but I haven't been able to figure out what they were guarding!

Good information, though!

That sounds VERY interesting! That would be a worthy project to translate!

I made a special request, and as I posted it in AHF, I realized it needed to be posted here as well. Friends, I present John Mulholland, King Shadow!

Re: May the shadow protect us with his great hart.

He usually didn't let any of us know when he was ill. I had just gotten an e-mail from him Tuesday letting me know he'd been in hospital for a month due to pneumonia. He told me we'd chat when he got caught up. I will truly miss chatting with him, but now he's with his wife. And, no doubt, starting ...

Re: Forum Hero Tales book now for sale!!

Since March 2011, I've sold a total of six and a half sets of these books. The bad part is that I bought three sets myself!

I recognize this is truly a niche publication, but only 3 1/2 sets sold in almost three years? C'mon, folks! I know a lot more of you followed these stories!!

6.SS-TK, Prague

Does anyone happen to have any specific knowledge of what SS-Totenkopfstandarte 6 would have actually been doing while they were garrisoned in Prague? I'm sure they had some standard guard duties, and I understand normal barracks duties, but what were they guarding? Were there other SS facilities in...

Martin, it looks like you've pretty much got it. Grenzschutz are Border Troops, but not "Border Line" troops. The only other things I could suggest would be: -- 315 Grenzschutz Schlachter Abtl. (mot) BUTCHERY BATTALION -- 315 Grenzschutz Militär Polizei Abteilung (mot) MILITARY POLICE -- 3...

Monsieur Ustuf, since I can't read French, I wouldn't know if you were the best historian since Homer, or barely qualified to make a grocery list. However, if you have a problem with something on the forum, let someone know off the board. I don't know what was said, but attacking the forum is bad fo...
