I thought Harrison Ford needed a bit of work. And I didn't like the Chetnik bashing considering those guys fought on our side since in the book I believe it's the Ustache who are the bad guys which they were. I enjoyed Robert Shaw and the guy who played Miller. They were Fun. My favorite scene being...

Odd as it sounds I actually liked Where Eagles Dare. As far as Cloak and Dagger Films go, it is pretty good. Same can be said of Guns of naverone and Force 10 from Naverone. I enjoyed the book. And the movie certainly did a good job following it. For historical accuracy it does well as far as unifor...

I believe Brian Cox's portrayal of Goering in Nurnberg is unsupassable. At the same time I think Leonardo DiCaprio could easily portray either Hartmann or Marsellies. The guy who played Picard on Star Trek Next Generation might do Canaris well though the guy who portayed Curiachen from Man from Uncl...

It is my observation that people are attracted to the worst of humanity. The movies that are often the best sellers are the horror flicks of seriel murderers and cannibals. Books that sell well are of the same genre. Movies and books about saintly people hardly sell. I guese Eric Blair (aka George O...

Another awful turkey produced by Hollywood is Brothers of the Frontier. It was directed and stars the guy who played RIKER on Star Trek Next Generation. I have not seen it in a long time. Good thing. It is awful. It is about a fronteir family in maybe upper New York fleeing Big Bad Landowner who fee...

I think Where Eagles Dare isn't that bad for a thriller. They used authentic weapons and unifroms. They used a real Ju 52. And though the Luftwaffe airfield had T-6 Texans instead of authentic German aircraft it wasn't that bad. Of course the Luftwaffe did use T-6s to train pilots including Erich Ha...

I thought the battle scenes for band of brothers were pretty good. The only reason they didn't show American troops getting creamed was those guys perobably didn't survive. We talking about the type of unit that draws fire, gets tossed into the breach and sees a lot of action. I peticularly enjoyed ...

Machiavelli once wrote that the best way to avoid going to Hell is knowing how to get there so you recognize the route and avoid it. Studying the Third Reich is no different. Publishing my novel SEALION'S BYTE about an Israili who goes back in time to prevent the Holocaust by killing Hitler and maki...

From what I have been reading on the subject, Stalin and his generals weren't planning anything hostile towwards Gerany until after 1942 whenthey were confident they had the resources to take the Reich and its allies. Stalin was still rebuilding his officer corps after his purge and Finnland gave hi...

I doubt Doenitz would want to have any exile government at all. He didn't try to become a political force after his release. He didn't try to do anything to rally people around him. Just stepped off stage and disappeared from view. Didn't write any books as Albert Speere did. Didn't do anything othe...

I don't give much credence with conspiracies. Even today some people believe Abraham Lincoln was assasinated with the help of radical Republicans so they could wreak revenge upon the South that Lincoln would have not gone for. With Pearl Harbor there is only incompotence to blame. That and the Atlan...
