Bank transfers within Germany are the most popular way of moving money in that country and from what I understand are very cheap. Sorry, I don't know how much they cost. Yes, when I said [some] German banks charge a fee for receiving money, I meant from outside the country.

All the best,
Jason

Does anyone have any comments on Von Paulus's standard of command during the Kharkov campaign during May 1942? Regards Jaywol.
It must have been good because he was awarded the Knight's Cross for his leadership of 6. Armee at Kharkov.

From my location in Australia, the only way I can pay WASt is by telegraphic transfer/wire payment, for which I pay my bank AUD $28.00. I didn't mind when it was a large sum being sent but it irks me when it is a tiny sum. A disturbing trend I have noticed is that German banks are now starting to ch...

Hi Christian, I've got a small piece of info about Heuschmann which is probably redundant now that you're in contact with his family, but I'll post it anyway. I found the following Verlustkarte (casualty card) on one of my rolls of microfilm: http://www.leapinghorseman.com/images/heuschmann_verlustk...

Now, if you suddenly sold the rights to Ballantine, that would be another issue.... David, don't go giving me any ideas! :D If JJF had made any show of appreciation for its "old hares", I wouldn't be posting in this Thread. I too think this is the crux of the issue and if JJF aren't caref...

Case and point....I have Death of the Leaping Horseman. I did not buy it when it first came out and had to find a copy online. I paid $50 for a softcover book, and did not buy the Hard cover. I wanted the story. Now I have heard that there could be a second printing....and that will mean that the b...

Not sure if this extra info is needed, but I'll post it anyway. It comes from research I am gathering for a book at Heer pioneer battalions. Sources are too numerous and varied to mention: Pionier-Bataillon 23 At the beginning of 1939, the battalion was as follows : Kommandeur: Major Otto Obernaus A...
