Many thanks John and Jamie , that is excellent further info on Karl-Heinz , he is the cousin of a good friend of mine also from Soltau who served with the DF Regiment ,

Karl-Heinz Schenk was an SS Untersturmfuhrer and the Nachrichten Offizier ( Signals Officer ) with SS Panzer Auflarungs Abt 12. Karl- Heinz was born on 28/2/1923, he survived the war and died on 3/12/2002. His SS Number was 466535 . Has anyone any further information regarding this Officer, Many tha...

I have seen some originals of that series of photos featuring Herzig which came with some of the estate of Karl Bromann but presumably quite a few of them were from photos shot by Kriegsberichter. I own quite a few original award documents etc relating to Fritz Herzig but no original photos, regards...

Hi Pascal, Looking at the map and the drawing etc i think this cemetery will be between Udria and Mummasaare , this is where Bunker Strasse was , a system of rear area dug outs / bunkers etc located along the Baltic coast , possibly just east of the Swedish wall in the area of the Estonian trenches ...

The drawing you posted is interesting , do you know where it is from and if it is accurate ?? From that it may be able to locate the Friedhof if the drawing is a true place , looks to be a spot on Bunker Strasse !!
