Re: Blitzkrieg Unleashed: Poland 1939

I wish that Micheluc book to be translated into English! By the way, there are several German combat reports speaking of Polish bravery in Thomas Jentz's Panzertruppen vol. 1...

Re: Review: The Armed Rovers

Nesbit was (is?) a regular contributor to the Aeroplane Monthly magazine. One got the feeling that he and John Maynard were quite strongly still entrenched in wartime propaganda...

Re: New Wilhelm Tieke translation from JJF

Tieke's English translation is definitely excellent news. Though maybe someday someone will translate the Panttipataljoona for a complete picture for English readers as well. I don't know how's the English translation of Tieke, but the Finnish translation uses constantly present tense for historical...

I'd rather keep it confidential until I get a clearance from the publisher to make further details public.

The latest intel I got from the publisher last week was "late 2013". It will be worth the wait.

Re: Prohorovka/Lawrence

Its been some time since I saw the contents listing, but I recall that it does concentrate on Prohorovka. But the detail and analysis will be unbeatable, and the source material used will be much wider than used by previous authors.

Re: Review: Besieged

The small font makes the book one of the most readable and fastest reading military history books I have ever read! And it also makes one feel that one is getting material for every penny of the not-so-cheap price as well.

Re: Prohorovka/Lawrence

The estimated publication is second half of 2013. This is the latest info from the people behind the book. Please do realize that this will be a huge book, 1000 + pages in medium format (not sure but the preliminary data indicates 8" x 10" format), large maps, professionally edited etc. plus a limit...

Re: Take Budapest! (Will be out this July)

I wrote the following on another forum in 3 parts over some time late this summer:"I have my copy in my hands now, and so far I have read about 60 pages. I find the book so far excellent as far as the content is concerned. Nevenkin describes the events from German, Soviet and Hungarian perspectives....
