Prior to 07/24/41 the unit was known as Sonderverband "F." It was reorganized/renamed on 11/22/41 as Sonderverband 288. By 11/27/41, it had been flown into Benghazi from Greece. The first frame shows the organization at that time, but omits the 1./288, which was a Brandenburger Company tha...
