Re: ...just ONE more question...
Thanks, I guess that answers my question, I was referring mainly to the officers of the W-SS formations One more question: Was membership expected for privates and NCO's too? I assume foreign volunteers were excluded from membership because they were not German nationals. It was not required of dan...

I like Manowar myself as well the point is they tend to take the Manowar fan mentality as the same as a Waffen-SS or Wehrmacht member. Last I checked they weren't suicidal nor did they have some Viking-esque bloodlust. :D As Woody Allen once said I can't listen to that much Wagner. I start getting ...

A few weeks ago it was revealed that Kam actually took part in a robbery in august 1943 where he seized the registers of jews in Denmark. Thus he enabled the German authorities to hunt down jews in august 1943. Most of the Danish Jews had already been warned by Danish politicians who knew of the Ger...

My Grandfather's brother (my great-uncle?) joined SS-Totenkopf in late 1940/early 1941. After training he was flown into the Demyansk pocket I think January 1942. He lived to a ripe old age, having evaded capture in 1945. However, on arrival back home, found that the border had shifted (again!) and...

Hmmm..... I have allways enjoyed the Rudel air unit in WIF. Or the Dora/Karl artillery unit. They really add points to the attack... only downside, is that the rudel counter have so limited range... the ruskies know where they are to strike.... but on the other hand neither Dora/Karl nor Rudel have ...

Hi, Well, since today is Valentine's Day in Malaysia :D and I wonder how would Valentine's Day celebrated during the era of Third Reich from 1933-1945? Did Hitler banned this occasion from being celebrated by the German people? How did the ordinary soldaten of the Wehrmacht celebrates (even if it's...

Now we are debatting former WWII equipment, as far as I have been told the norwegian armed forces kept a number of german 88's in store until the 90's where they were finally done away with, after ofcourse firing a few rounds for fun.... and trying to check up on this story I stumpled across this! h...
