Hi again. You wouldn't happen to know how this company was organized would you?
Not the whole breakdown. I was just wondering were they set up like Heer Infantry. Number of men per squad, number of squads a platoon. Any mortars and Heavy HMGs?

Marine Question
I've been reading about German Naval Infantry. I know that they were called Marine units but they aren't like USMC or Royal Marines. They were naval personnel with no ship and in emergencies got pressed as infantry. Like at Narvik and later in the war. In fact at Narvik is the first ad hoc group tha...

I'm not following how celebrating Thanksgiving is the same as claiming the invention of harvesting festivals. Americans came up with their own holidays to celebrate, but I've never heard or read where we claimed to invent celebrations. I didin't think creating a new holiday to celebrate something wa...

Armored Car Squadrons
I'm looking over three sources showing the typical organization of a 1939 Panzer Division. All of them show that the Recce Battalion had 2 armored car squadrons. One of the sources lists that there would be 48 armored cars total. But what is the breakdown of the squadron? All of one type of armored ...

I think it's not so much as the F2 didn't exist but that the Germans didn't call it the F2. They called the F, Sd Kfz 161 and if it had the longer gun it was the Sd Kfz 161/1. The F2 designation seems to have come along and copied to distinguish the long barrelled versions from the short barrelled v...

I think it's natural for any side to talk up their equipment especially if you're the designer of the Norden Bomb Sight. They were no different than any other manufacturer. It's easy to say the sight wasn't that accurate when you can watch laser guided bombs on tv fly through windows. But they didn'...

SS Squad and Unit Organizations
I've been researching unit organizations for the Heer and Waffen SS. I have a few sources that list detailed breakdowns on Heer units and then for the SS unit of the same type it usually says organized the same with stronger components. Some references will mention they had extra infantry companies,...
