Were Hausser and Wisch alone in the Falaise pocket? Did they fought their way out with just 2 pistols? Cmon Heinz? Its obvious you take Hausser and Wisch in higher reward then Meyer? If that is your opinion, thats ok. But calling Meyer a 'coward' ? This thread reminds me of childies games. Yes it is...

Pleasant suprise...
I just found on my doorsteps an air-mail package. Turned out to be the feldgrau cd-rom I ordered. Hehe thought it would take weeks by sea-mail. But air-mail is significant faster :)
Pics on the cd-rom are awesome, must say I never saw those before!
Thx Jason!
Erwin.

I found this image in a book of mine: Van Canada tot Dollard tou. http://members.home.nl/erwinz/@home/beobachter.jpg 2 Vorgeschobene Beobachter somewhere in Groningen in the late stages of the war. You can clearly see one soldier is in contact with the base (prob. with a Feldernsprecher 33) While th...

Goerings favorite place was his house at the Obersalzberg. His family lived there all the year. He even made a swimming pool to loose some weight. It was the only pool on the Berghof so it was pretty crowded in the summer. The Berghof was blown up by the americans in 1945, but you can still visit it...

Wow thats an amazing story! A good example of a military doctrine to take as much as you can without firing a single shot. I know they blew up every bridge in Zwolle except for 1. The 'De Nieuwe Havenbrug' was just build in 1939, and probably because it was just so new they kept that one intact. Mey...

For example, his drive into Zwolle would be a better example because, different from the coincidence that made them run into the russians as described above, his drive to the town hall of Zwolle was his own initiative. I saw Zwolle mentioned in a bio somewhere but there was no specific explanations...

About radio's. The German Vorgeschobene Beobachter (VB) did use radio's. In the early stages of war the VB joined the armed forces in the first wave of attack, so they must have been acces to the field radio's inside the armoured vehicles. In October 1944 the Germans introduced the Kleinfunksprecher...

So we might assume that the german tactic described by Max was used by the Germans in the early stages of war, and later on the Germans adopted the American grid system (maybe for some locations, and for quick fire they could still relay on the old one) Counting steps by the observer seems a bit unt...

I understand you would like to see some consequent actions, but why the wish to see every “nazi” (this silly word was made up by American moviemakers during the war) official dead? The term Nazi was made up way before ww2. In the Weimar republic there was already heavy street fighting between the n...
