Mauser model 71/84 stock wanted

Hello, I am searching for an original stock for a Mauser 71/84 I have a rifle in VG condition all matching numbers i got at a yard sale for $40.00 unfortunately the stock was sporterized and would like to get an original military stock for it. Any help is much appreciated. TIA Schultz

Good choice Annelie don't go with any refurb russian or otherwise, there not original.
There rebuilds with new numbers. From parts.
Just keep an eye out i found a 1941 original erfurt at a yardsale for 50.00 us dollars. Not often you find that but better look than spend more for a fake.

The value on "SS" marked rifles is generally between 500 to 1000 U.S. dollars. Always depending on condition. Be very careful as the market has been flooded the past year or two with fakes, there was very few K-98's marked this way, sometimes only with a single rune or both also with a deaths head. ...

the link you have doesn't work for me but i have read on this before and i see no shocking anything as others have, in war people kill people, and from what i have read on the topic he didn't do anything surprising or out of line for the time or situation. So what crime? I dont see one.

Hello Matt, Not sure if you found anymore out yet or not but the 22nd Regiment took a pasting from USAAF fighters that day before an assault on Cherbourg 6/22/44, so they kinda got it from both sides. Info was in a book called "Utah to Cherbourg" on the army website. I was reading it a few days ago ...
