Re: German Army 1st september 1939

hi Domen,

I only know Klein was wounded and Wagner succeeded him and kept commanding the regiment until 1942 when he was wounded.
There is some more info here on Wagner:

Re: German Army 1st september 1939

Hi Domen, Thx for the feedback. I appreciate that a lot. I'ld like to say that for me establishing the commanders of the 11. division was harder than for most of the other divisions that existed in 1939. I use a couple of sources some of which are sadly not 100 % reliable. What i can say is that acc...

Well personally, i tend to skip the flashy covers and would buy the book next to it : A black (or other single-color) cover with a single white sentence : "The German invasion of poland by Richard Hargreaves".. 8) (its a youth trauma i think: In my younger days i bought to many flashy crap to ever f...

tigre's and toxioditis's topics

Hello Jason. I got both and they are a bit more than picturebooks. Operational accounts are pretty well covered in both. Wtih regard to the organizational details: They are both a bit lacking in it, but the 113th is somewhat more comprehensive than the 329th. Printing quality with regard to the pict...

They certainly weren't complete and utter rubbish (always nice to have a divisional history), but 34. Infanteriedivision Einsatz und Gefechtsüberischt is really not worth buying except when u collect histories. It is nothing more than a gefechtskalender, an incomplete stellenbesetzung without dates...
