Hi Richard,
As far as i can tell going through my collection, the source for the quotes appear to lead me back to Jurgen Thorwald's Das Ende an der Elbe, published in Stuttgart 1950.

Re: Küstrin 1945
Just finished Le Tissiers book on Kustrin and its got to be the best Endkampf book ive read in a while. The best bit about the book is the first-hand accounts Le Tissier has collected,as well as the after action reports from the CO Reinefarth and NSDAP leader Hermann Korner. You begin to think he has ...

Re: Rolf Hinze
it was quite hard to shift. Regards Ron But not as hard as it was to read, though, Ron. :D The only drama I found in it was the title... There's a much better book by Hinze on the summer 1944 fighting, Rückkämpfer 1944 , which is an anthology of first-hand accounts. You can find copies for about £1...

Re: Rolf Hinze
Hi I purchased Rolf Hinze s East Front Drama 1944,The JJ Fedorowicz edition.I must agree with Richard its a very hard book to crack on with ,there is no first person accounts to liven up the text.I read the book then sold it on E Bay and from what i can remember it was quite hard to shift.
