Reb, I can see counting your own rounds, but counting how many rounds the enemy fired at you and you would figure he had to reload so it would be safe to charge him, man that's taking one hell of a chance.

Ah W.vBraun-aimed for the stars-and hit London.

If the Germans or the Japanese had the A bomb do you think they would have hesitated to use it on the Allies,especally when they knew they were going to lose the war?

Jock, if you can get a copy of"The Roots of the Blitzkrieg" by James S. Corum you will find all about Hans v Seeckt and how the post WW1 German army was rebuilt. The General Staff Corps was supposed to be abolished but i think it was reconsituted as the personel branch of the Riechwher. Before WW1 the Germans had i believe, the Kumpler system, all men at the age of 18 had to register for induction into the army.
