Re: Regiment 252 Chuduilicha 1942
I.R. 252 was part of the 110 Inf.Division which at that time was in 9th Army and occupying positions in what was known as the Rzhev salient. I believe "Chuduilicha" possibly refers to a village named Katelka, which is located about halfway between Belyi and Vyazma (also about halfway betwe...

Re: Most highly decorated unit
We in the English speaking world have ready access to histories or Allied units but unfortunately the information I really thirst for, about German units, I really have a hard time locating. I suspect the situation is different in Europe That almost sounded condescending however, after reading it a...

Re: German Generals of WWII - Seniority List ??
Hey Shadow, I'm not really into seniority issues, however, I believe that the promotion date is the date of the promotion being made while the "m.W." date is the seniority date. If there is no "m.W." date then the man's seniority is based on the promotion date....I think ! :D Jerry

manchu19,
I am interested in Strachwitz's conflict with Karl Decker and the controversy over the Panzer Brigade/Regiment success at Kursk.
Do you have anything on that?
