This was ...

hi Baltasar, what I meant about the Ribbentrop - Molotov pact : With Hitler dead the Russians might well have been the ones to attack Poland first - they had a not so old bone to pick - their bad loss in the Russo-Polish war in 1921. I doubt that Britain and France would have gone against the Soviet...

Germany leaning hard on Poland, which at Hitler's death might have attacked - they were seriously considering it... the Pact with R...

I spent ten years(1977 - '87) in a little harbor in California - Morro Bay, Pop. then 8900. That's the longest time I lived in any ...

hi, I lived in the States, mostly California, for almost 12 years. I loved the pysical and mental elbow room. I truly liked the country and it's inhabitants. I was even married to one, a (usually great) woman from Boston. I have been away since 1987. I discovered that US Americans apparently can't a...

hi, Frederick: I just checked HAIKU on google.com that is not what I write by a long shot, but thanks anyway. I WISH I could express what I feel I need to say in 17 syllables, or less, - and understandably to boot. --- The reason for me writing - visually - the way I do is quite prosaic: I am dyslex...

hi K,

'Servus' , a friendly term
amongst equals
is used in Southern Germany and Austria

as a greeting and as a good-bye word.

It used to mean 'your servant' (I think).
