Re: Killing of Wehrmacht soldiers in T4 Action?
I recall reading somewhere that various members of the T4 Programme staff were sent to the Minsk area where they conducted euthanasia on badly wounded German troops but they were sworn to utmost secrecy and very few details have emerged. I can't remember where I read that but it might of been in The...

U-Boat Attack Logs - New Release
A new release and one that looks to be a must have for those interested in the U-Boat arm is U-Boat Attack Logs . My copy has only just arrived so can't give a proper review of the book but it gives details of the sinking of 110 warships where the attacking U-Boat's attack log has survived. To quote...

Re: ONLY 1 (one)
My personal all time favourite is The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer which I first read before my teens and in later life always made sure it was with me when I deployed for 7-9 months overseas but due to the 'is it fiction or fact' debate I will lay that to one side for the purpose of this thread a...

Re: Help with researching a relative's war service
Would she still be able to submit this request even though she is not a "direct" relative? This is her Grandmother's cousin you see! Many Thanks Simon I have no idea I'm afraid (but think they only tend to deal with Next Of Kin type relatives) but there is only one way to find out and it ...

Re: "Devil's Guard" for sale
Or rather the trick is to sell a book at a more realistic price. I can't see anyone paying the $575 asking price when it is available on Amazon - in both book and Kindle format - for less then $8.kordts wrote:The trick is to have a book for sale that more than 1 person wants.

Re: Help with researching a relative's war service
If she is a relative then your wife could try contacting here...

...although it might take up to 6 months for them to get back to you with any information (or a rejection of your request.)
Or your wife (being the relative) could try the German Red Cross...

Re: Need A Book!
There are plenty of websites that can give you that information, such as... http://www.wwiidaybyday.com/uniformen/uniformmain.htm And the Nafziger OOB files are now also on-line... http://www.cgsc.edu/carl/nafziger/index.asp For OOB you also have the 3 volume set by Samual Mitcham and his additional...

Re: Anti-guerilla operations in Balkans
The only book I can think of that might cover that area - although probably not in an overview style that covers all operations of all units etc is the divisional history of 7 SS Prinz Eugen but as it is written by one of the divisional commanders it is going to be biased and for obvious reasons isn...

Re: Luftwaffe EK holders 1939-1940.
One more - Oberfeldwebel Magnus Brunkhorst of 9./JG 2 Richtofen who won the EK II & I during the Battle Of Britain. Apparantly there are photos in existence of him so if anyone knows of any they could share (purely for my private files for his citations) I'd be grateful. EK II - 28th August 1940...

Re: New Jason Mark book!
Looks promising and coverage of a battle that has been long overdue, in the English language at least. Any news on the Pi.Btl 305 book that was adverised as Jason's next book in the back of his last venture, Croatian Legion?

Soldbuch SS-Pz.Rgt 3 'Totenkopf' (For Trade Only)
Very nice 'been there' soldbuch to SS-Rottenfuhrer Berthold Heckmann which is packed with entries. There is a great photo of him on the inside cover with the Deaths Head collar tab clearly visible. Soldbuch cover is loose from the pages and there are 2 pages loose within but for a SB that went throu...

Re: Looking for information on a "malgre-nous'
Marsch Btl's were usually temporary in nature and were formed for transporting men to their units so chances are that there is little, if any, information on that particular one.
