Hi C.G.

Do you possibly have photo's of these units?

Did all these bataillons form regiments? like the Polizei Regimenter # (with a bat. I/II/III )

Is there a reference written in english about these units, as far as you know?

Do you collect polizei? You seem well informed in this matter.

I feel that the Police is too big to be put in the auxiliary forum. Else the Luftwaffe and Heer and Kriegsmarine forums could also go into one big Wehrmacht forum. The police played a major part in the reich. Himmler had, by controlling the SS and the Polizei almost total power. But of course you kn...

Polizei Forum at Feldgrau?

Does Feldgrau need a Polizei forum? I think the answer to that is YES. Why?: The german police was about the biggest organisation in the Reich. They controlled civilian life, controlled air raid protection and all civil services like the feuerwehr, technische nothilffen and policing duties. They whe...

Polizei veterans telling their story

I was wondering if anybody knows a veteran that served in the Polizei. It would be interesting for me (and my website possibly) if these veterans would tell me their story on how it was to serve in the polizei. If anybody knows someone please contact me (through the forum or through my website) thanks

but they wouldn't , as partisans, wear the polish flag on their helmets and the polish eagle on the front.

suggests parade wear after the war was over

The polizei also used the edelweiss for wear on the left lower sleeve (cloth) and on the left side of the bergmutze and later the M43 (metal)

I was under the impression that the Einsatzgruppen for a large part consisted of Polizei Reserve Battailons; wearing polizei tunics with polizei insignia. The sleeve eagle later changed to the SS eagle but the rest of the insignia basically remained the same.

please confirm

Does any of you know what type of uniform these units wore?

was it standard Polizei Feldbluse with full Polizei insignia?
or polizei insignia with ss sleeve-eagle?

did they wear something like a sleeveshield to distinguish themselves from other units?

thanks
