What was the disposition of German Medical personel (doctors, nurses, and medics) captured by the Americans and other allies near the front? Subhas Chandra Bose founded the Indian Legion that fought for the Germans. In fact, he was also commander in chief. The Legion became a part of Waffen-ss in 1944.
