Central India Horse where the divisional reconnausance for 4th Indian Division from august 1940 until april 1942 and then again from february 1944 until march 1946. in there first stint they were equiped with armoured cars (we have mention of Marmon Harrington in our records) though later in the war...

Dave i am not sure if this is any help, now anything 4th indian division is my forte lol but whilst searching i came across this site i dont know if it is mixing 2nd laa regiment with 2nd laa brigadebut as you know what you are looking for it may be clearer to you. steve http://rapidttp.com/milhist/...

actually this kind of thing happened a lot in the desert war with both sides wearing each other kit, in the desert war bith armies were at the end of a very long supply chain so they often utilised captured equipment,clothing etc and as the luftwaffe clothing was much the same as the british then of...

Naples was the most bombed Italian city in WW2. It was struck for the first time on November 1, 1940, by RAF and Fleet Air Arm Bristol-Blenheim twin-engine light bombers flying out of Malta. something else that you have forgotten IB is that the RAF were fighting over britian, so any plane shot down the pilot could bail out and be back at base for supper to await a new plane, so figures for planes lost does not match pilots lost for the british, however for the germans planes shot down e...
