well, Sid, Enrico will sure tell it better in deep but I think that no one had a clear idea about what was more correct to do (in particular a lot of people thought that fleet had not to be given to allies) so there was a costant change of decision. IIRC italian flees zig-zaged for west Med for almo...

any german move in Balkans would have 100% provoked an italian reaction, overall, Italy had never left germans arriving on adriatic coast or on Isonzo border. This was against all possible italian strategies. the italo-german competition for Balkan control is one of the most important keys to unders...

I've always loved an italo-british movie of 1961 (IIRC) "The best of enemies" of G. Hamilton starring D. Niven and A. Sordi on 1941 ethioipian campaign.....exilarant every time I see it! The scene of italians escaping by besieged fort is at the top :D

Enrico, on which issue has your article appeared? Ah, a note for Paco....."Enemy as Evil" is a common feature of all conflicts but keeping a line open for contact between opposite sides of the hill is a common practice of wise diplomacy. In 800 years of conflicts, Brits had employed all th...

italian viewpoint

about Mr. Berlusclown, two things are to be said:

1) If he wants to go to war, he speaks essentially for himself. A good 60-70% of italians thinks having no connection with this war

2) His attention is actually taken by his own trial at Milan and his private war against italian justice
