Re: Nachschub versus Versorgung units

Soldat 7128,
Thx for the information. Up to now I was limited to Google translate and Houlihan's "Kriegsprache".

Leo,

This is so incredibly unselfish of you and is greatly appreciated. I have purchased several of your volumes but I havent been able to locate many of them. Thx ever so much. You are to be commended for your attitude on sharing.

Re: Nachschub versus Versorgung units

I was specifically looking at the period to make sure it just showed that what is before it is an abbreviation and not something different. But still wondering about zug and zuge.

Re: Nachschub versus Versorgung units

John, Thx for the reply. I was looking for the meaning of the different uses of zugs and Kom's. I do know the difference between a zug and company haha. Sorry if my request was a little confusing. I knew I'd mess that up. Anyway, thx again. I wonder why they would have changed the terminology for &q...

Nachschub versus Versorgung units

Hi all, I am in the process of using Google translate to understand the unit listings in Mueller-Hillebrand's "Das Heer". Have run across several unit descriptions that appear to translate the same but I'm sure are different meanings. Can anyone explain the difference between a Nachschub v...

Whats happening at Germandocsinrussia site?

Wondering whats going on at the Germandocsinrussia site? Looks like several of the original "findbuchs" are missing (12450,12452 etc) and the ones that are there such as 12451 have ALOT of the documents missing. 12451 documents used to be numbered continuously from 1 thru 600 or so and now...

help with a publisher

Hi all, I have left five separate e-mails to Military Book Publishing (militarypress.co.uk and http://militarybookpublishing.org.uk) over a 6 week period trying to order two volumes and cannot get a response from them. I successfully ordered a book 2 months ago but have had no luck contacting them s...

fonts for AHM publication in 30's and 40's

Hi all, Looking for the EXACT fonts that were used in the "Allgemeine Heeresmitteilungen" (AHM) from the 30's and 40's that was put out by OKH. I received the CD from Helion & co that has EVERY issue from 1934-1945. The pages are VERY clear and I am looking to use Omnipage to translate...

What is a Stabsheft Inf. 24?

Hi all,

In one of the KSTN publications from BAMA it shows a group of KSTN's (111F, 131F, 186F) for "Stabsheft Inf. 24". Have never seen this term (Stabsheft) used before. Also for Stabsheft Inf. 25, Stabsheft Inf. Div., and Stabsheft Landsch. 12.

Any help?

Thx in advance.
