'On 1944-09-09, it was ordered that Zimmerit application was to cease imidiately, beacuse of rumors that impacts from shells would set the Zimmerit on fire, destroying the tank even if the shell didn't. These rumors were investagated, and found to be untrue, but Zimmerit was never re-instated.' From...

I've seen photo's of some armor during the fall that still had it. Look at some of the tanks that were captured at the end of the war the still had it. *L* I've worked with that stuff for about 15 years and it never even occurred to me to try it. It's perfect, will not dry too fast and easy to work with. Thanks!

Yeah, it's fairly thin, just screwed up my elephant by trying to use an apoxy puddy for the effect. It came out too thick, slowly been trying to remove it. Met a very helpful friend here though that has shown me the way with zimmerit though and metal tracks :)

My father-in-law has tons of Nazi coins and some paper currency. He used to collect coins and stamps but considered the stamps and coins of the Nazi's junk. Seems his last coin price book is from 90. Are they worth anything? Yes he's German and gave me all the War photo's from his dad. He said I cou...

My friend's dad said after Buchenwald his unit did not take ss prisoners, only regular army. He's the type of guy who doesn't know the difference between the types of ss. Nor am I inclined to judge. War is ugly not romantic.
