It's definitely a sight - it has glass level in it. Still a BIG mystery because no one is able to say what is that :)

Mysterious german grenade launcher sight

It's a relic but looks different from what I've seen before - what is this? Have you ever seen something like this before? At first I thought it's just damaged but it looks totally different from both known types... What I know for sure - it's not damaged version of well known sight, - it's not spig...

Only one of the above photos relates to SS-Fallschirmjäger-Btl 500: the bottom photo is certainly of Adolf Kunzmann, the para-trained SS-KB who took many of the better-known photos of SS-FJ-Btl 500. There is a later portrait showing Kunzmann smiling, with the NKS in Bronze and the rank of SS-Oscha....

"Po zakończeniu walk spora liczba karabinów dostała się w ręce wrogów, większość tej broni zgarnęli Niemcy. Nie jest znana ich dokładna ilość, broń otrzymała teraz oznaczenie Panzer Buchse 35 (polnisch) i trafiła do niektórych oddziałów, np. posługiwali się nią spadochroniarze z grupy szturmowe...
