Yes sir, You need to read Hells Gate yesterday. I've read Zetterlings edition but I'd re-read Hells Gate. That is some story!

Is there a volume missing? I have the first one and have vol.2 & 4 on preorder but I can't find vol.3 anywhere.

I've too many books on the shelf, I'm afraid. I have started this and after 85 pages I put it down. It's written from the Soviet side(which I thought would be a nice change of pace, and it was) and there are plenty of "first person accounts" but there are'nt any maps! I tried to keep going...

I just got mine through Amazon today. I've only had time to flip through the pics. I'll kick it off later tonight.

This is my first encounter with Gregor Dallas. He seems to have portrayed the White House as Communist appeasers and Churchill as the lone voice against a Communist takeover of Europe! How valid is this and would you have any more recommended reading on this?
