I'm looking for specific info on PK photographer training. I know there were things that were not allowed to be photographed, like dead German soldiers, but what else did the photographers learn? Did they fe compose images? Were compositions staged? Did they tell soldier X to stand here and soldier ...

Re: Complete German oob for war in Italy?
I made pics of the text in the Osprey book. It's far from complete, but it's a start.
There are units missing, like for example Stug Br 242 and 5 Werfer Brigade. Maybey we could build an oob together?
Regards,
Marc

I did find a summary of sorts in two books:
Concord publ. "Panzers in Italy 1943-45", by Tom Cockle
Osprey publ. "The German army 1939-45 (5) Western front 1943-45", by Nigel Thomas

Marc

Job of messtrupps?
I came across the designation "Messtrupp" in several contexts, fe in the description of a specialized Horch Kfz 15 version (mittler Messtruppp Kraftwagen). What does a Messtrupp do (I'm guessing it has to do with artillery), and is there one kind, or are there different kinds? Thanks in ad...

Online archive: Footnote.com
I came across this on the modeling site Missing Links.com. Footnote is an online source for WWII documents (offical german reports on battles etc) and official american post-war translations. This month it's for free as well. Thread on Missing links: http://www.network54.com/Forum/47207/message/1261...

Sdkfz 221/ 222 in Infanterie Divisionen
I red on Lexicon der Wehrmacht, that ID's of the 1 & 2nd Welle had Sdkfz 221/222 in their Aufklarungs Abteilung.
Were these actualy alotted/ used in WWII? If so were they used throughout the war, or deleted from the KStN and were the divisions ordered to turn them in?
Thanks in advance.
