thoughts about Franz Kurowski's "Aces" series?

What do you all think about "Panzer Aces" and "Infantry Aces"? I own them both but what I want to know is how did he get such a detailed account of some of them if they perished in the war and how did he get word-for-word what the men said? Any thoughts would be appreciated. chee...

Maybe all the US counted was military AFVs like half-tracks, armored cars, and tanks and vehicles in general like trucks and similar vehicles. They also prolly counted guns too.. as you said before. I can see that the guy has a high amount of kills.. but you have to remember.. at Falaise they almost...

Possibly the Focke-Wulfs had 'em too.. but I've seen film of Bf109Es being cranked from the right side if the engine.. which is probably the inertia starter....dunno :?

Why did the Daimler-Benz engines need an inertia stater while others didnt? Where was it mounted?
