If the Warsaw uprising was a joke, then was the "uprising" (if you want to call it that) that spawned the War for Independance in the US of A a joke also?

Sterling production started im the '60s I think. I think it was adopted by the Brits around then also. It was used in the Army and with Special Forces units. What does "Sierra Hotel/@#% Hot" mean in fighter pilot slang? I've heard it before but never understood what it ment.

I think the guns were of 150mm cailber and there were six guns in the battery. They were moved a little over a mile behind the beach in a orchard. Intel reported they were 155mm but I dont think the Germans had a 155mm gun.

If you fit the drawing on the picture of the 109, it looks like the cannon mechanism itself is mounted behind the engine with its barrel fed through the propeller shaft.

My guess would be in the heat of combat the gunner would just put the target in the crosshairs and fire off a shot.

The Firefly had a 17pdr (76mm) so I guess if it got close enough it could. Depends on where the shot hits.
