hi tigre!
I have plenty of information from Russian sources about the battles of 32 cavalry division on those days. Are you seeking for any additional details?

Gentlemen, is there any source to buy electronic or paper copies of out-of-print WW2 books especially divisional histories? Because in most cases I can't afford original editions :(

I'm 99 per cent certain it's a picture book rather than a divisional history. :( I also think so. At least several books of tis type which I already have are in fact full of pictures but not too informative. For that reason I've turned my mind to Haupt's book. I've seen the divisional site before b...

The end of 260 ID, July 1944

It's known that 260 ID was destroyed in Minsk pocket at the beginning of July 1944 during Soviet summer offensive "Bagration". As far as I know, after retreat from defense positions along Minsk-Moscow highway the division concentrated in a huge forest, east of Minsk and was ultimately dest...

I would say that V/K means "voennaya kontrrazvedka" (Counter-intelligence). So the whole phrase means that he had shown up at the counter-intelligence office in Cottbus on 19/7/1945.

It looks really strange. The Feldherrnhalle's attempt to breakthrough out of the pocket in Pekalin area was at night 6-7 July. Some small groups managed to cross the Minsk-Mogilew highway but as morning came strong Russian reinforcemnts arrived and secured the area. By that date Geman lines were alr...
