sorry guys actually i looked at paper today, its in german and he was released in 47, my mother said it was more of a dischagre from the german army after he was released from pow camp in russia. ill scan it when i can. Thank you everyoen for your wishes.

While we were going through some of Erics things, There was a release paper in russian that indicated his release from a russian pow camp. Would this paper have his unit he served with at time of capture. As its russian i belive im not sure what to look for, I will ask my mother if can photocopy it ...
