It might just be that you're all right. At the end of the war, when larger groups of germans were surrendering, Waffen SS members had bigger chances of survival. Earlier in the war especially if smaller groups surrendered, chances of being tortured/killed were much bigger. One difference between the...

I think that's the number being encircled, with about 90000 surrendering.

What about cotton then? I've read somewhere that the U.S. supplied around 90% of the cotton needed, but I can't remember where I read it. Do you have any figures Oleg?

One must keep in mind that the best German weapons of war were developed at the end - around 1944. I am talking about the excellent tanks-Panthers, Tigers, King-Tigers; the Me-262, t V-2 rockets.......etc etc..... The only problem was that the germans was not the only ones with better weapons as th...

When you are talking about very few non-combat Soviet losses recorded don't forget to include 3.5 millions Soviet POW slaughtered in German camps Gee, I thought that POWs were combat losses. I was beginning to think that you had given up your crusade in changing all us "nazilovers". Seems...

Nice one Qvist, but don't smoke again! Smoking is bad for you, you know. :D I think we all know what igorns agenda is by now. It is trying to convince everybody here that the german forces were at least as good in the spring of 1945 as they were in 1941 or 1943. Why? Because he wants to prove that t...

I think I (finally) understand Igors agenda. It is to put so much text on feldgrau servers so that Jason will go bankrupt while trying to pay for all serverspace. :?
I do admire those of you who have the stamina required to read Igors loooong posts about things we already know.
