Fair enought point, But the Son bridge was blown and the Best bridge did not fall into Allied hands until late on the 19th, By this time the 82nd was having major problems at the landing zones and very few units were spared for Nijmagen, While the grave bridge was defended by just the 504th which wa...

Ok, It was a German victory but could they have done better, Taking the Arnhem bridge by the 18th, It could allow for upto 12 Panthers, 3 Tigers and a number of Pz III's and IV's to rush to the Son and Best bridges, Give the German Infantry enought time to wipe out the airbourne troops.

A naval bombing of Henderson would destroy 50% or more of the planes there, Then an air attack should knock out another 25% of there aircraft, Then launch more naval bombings. Yes army airforce fighters were good but at times at Henderson they had less than a dozen I dont think they ever had anymore...

I think the japanese were smart enought not to deploy carriers close to land,

Maybe they wanted to use the ships to put up a blockade in the night while also bombing Hendarson at night

Personnaly the GZ wouldnt have gotten to far anyway, It had strong AA guns in wrong locations and was of a poor design for the Atlantic, It wouldnt have been able to launch any planes and would thus be a waste of 97.2 million Riech marks. Enough money to go and build 2000+ Pz IV's But as for the Sch...

Well lets work out when the GZ would be ready, Not until mid '43 atleast. By then Britain and America have thousands of thousands of Bombers and fighters and Have control of NA, The RN can freely get from one end of the Med to the other with no Luftwaffe interfirance. If the GZ target was Gibralter ...

Becouse just like the Bismarck it would be the pride and joy of the German navy, But the Brits and Yanks would also know this and do everything in there power to stop it, Even launching a full 1,000 bomber raid on this single carrier, Becouse if it got out into the open ocean it would be to hard to ...

I would say an important HELP at least, Without these tanks blocking the German Pnz div The Germans would have over run a lot of ground before the Russian tanks got there in numbers.

It would have lasted maybe 1 sortie at sea in attacking the enemy, 2 at the most before it was sunk or destroyed.
