Re: ?? on 1st Ukrainian Front tank strength in Dec.43-Jan.44
Great stuff!
Havy you got any idea of the 3rd Gds Tank Army's great losses of SPGs?
On 22nd December 1943: 7 SU-152, 5 SU-122, 92 SU-85. Total 104!
On 1st January 1944: 12 SPGs! More than 4 Regiments lost (or transferred?) ??
With best regards

Re: 120mm Mortars
Also Finland developed their own 120 mm mortar by Tampella, the 120 Krh/40 (120 mm mortar model 1940).

Re: StuG.III & Marder III in SS PzGr.Div in Jan.-Feb.1943
The early Tiger company (the three SS-PzGr.Rgt and Inf.Div. GD only) were equipped 10-15 Panzer III Ausf.J (5cm short or long?). Don't forget that also schwere Pz.Abteilung 501, 502 and 503 got their first Tigers with Pz.IIIs - I thought were Ausf.L. Soon they were replaced with Pz.III Ausf.N, with...

Re: Amphibious Assaults in the Eastern front
Hello everyone!
Coud someone tell us something about the Soviet landings in the lake of Ladoga?
The first one in 1941 was a total catastrophe, the second in 1944 a success.
Thanks to You Tigré for srarting this topic!
