I fired the Cz24 last time i was in the Czech Republic (about a month ago) in a gun club in Prague. I don't know how similar the sights were, but the rest of the rifle is very like the K98. I'm not a sniper, but i wouldnt say i was a bad shot, gaining some shooting awards in my CCF and scoring well ...

In The Forgotten Soldier Guy Sajer says something about the volksturm having a really good rifle and definately means that one, whether his report is to be trusted is up to you, personally i believe his story, most probaly because i really enjoyed it and want to, but there a quite a few inacuracies ...

LSSAH armour in normandy?
Can anybody give me the numbers and marks of tanks the LSSAH began battle in Normandy with, and the same info when their campaign had ended, would be much appreciated, thanks in advance,

Asuming you mean private, in the SS, it was SS-Schütze and in the Heer( Wehrmacht) it was just Schütze, see this site for rank tables and equivilants in England and America, they get some of the english ranks wrong however, for example, a staff sergeant in the american army is the same in the britis...

In this period, what vechiles would the GD have used? I know they were Infanterie Regiment Grossdeutchland (mot.), so does this mean that they had just lorries and no SPWs? From which divsions would they be likely to have tank support and were they still organised, on a squad basis, as Panzergrenadi...
