2.Panzer-Divsion H.Flak-Art.Abt 273 June 1944

Hello All, I am trying to sort out the organization of the 2.Panzer-Divsion's Heer Flak-Art.Abt 273 as it stood on 01 June 1944. In the attached diagram, we can see that it had the following units Stab-KStN 1705 Stabs-Batterie-KStN 1709 1.Batterie-KstN 1711 2.Batterie-KstN 1711 3.Batterie-KStN 1714 ...

Nat wrote: Sun Feb 20, 2022 1:25 pm Also on another note, How come these units lack the "freie gliederung" organization? Wasn't the Type 44 Pz.Div. supposed to be completely (fg)?
Not all the units within a Type 44 Panzer Division were "freie gliederung". Check out the attachment below.

2.Panzer-Division/38.Pz.Jg.Abt.

Hello, I am trying to figure out which KStNs the 2.Panzer-Division would have used to rebuild the 38.Pz.Jg.-Abt. in early 1944 while stationed in France. I did not see a 1943 Panzer-Division KStN List and Gliederung anywhere. Is one available? Also, I searched the various NARA documents I have but t...

Re: K.St.N.s Needed

I can't imagine the amount of space needed to do a 1-to-1 Panzer Division in 1/72 scale. I've been working on a 1-to-1 of the 2.Panzer-Division in 1/285 scale and I don't even have enough space to do that.

The vehicles in the platoon, 6 Kettenkrads and 5 light vehicles, are the almost the same as one in a panzer battaltion. Would there have been a KStN for this? I can't se...

Wouldn't "administratively" be a better word?
That is the word I was looking for! Wirtschaftlich does mean econmical of course but I didn't think it fit right within the context of the sentence.

Thanks Piet!
