I certainly don't advocate an individual assassinating the rule of a country - unless he happens to live in Iraq, that is... Sid: Once again, you make poi...

Hi Sid... I try to be a responsible citizen - I firmly believe that half of civic responsibility lies in making a reasonable effort to understand the documents and dicta that govern your daily activities in a given society. The majority of my 30 or so firearms are used to teach different government,...

Freedom...

I absolutely agree with you! Our treatment of African Americans following (as well as before and during) the last world war was absolutely deplorable! Interpretation?

That is an interesting point, but there comes a time when ambiguity cannot be "hidden behind". "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." The closing text of the Second Amendm...

Reading German...

Do you mean "Oder was?" I definitely agree, though, that a cursory "understanding" of German is extremely helpful. Babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/, which is free), as well as some of the other translation tools and services are okay (sometimes) to get the genera...

Online translation...

Hi... One of the best ways to handle BASIC translations is through the Babelfish website: http://babelfish.altavista.com/ Just one warning though - it messes up verb tenses (and cases) pretty much always, so it still helps to have some knowledge of the languages... Babelfish supports all of the lang...

Given all of the groteque amounts of money the US government spent in teaching me German, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, and French, I am proud to endorse Stefan's translation... Which is great, given that Stefan is German! Seriously, though, the German tendancy to "stuff" (my DLI inst...
