Norvegian 99th Regiment 1944

Hello to all
I am searching for informations on the 99th Regiment (Norvegian). This unit was located in Malmedy / Belgium (Dec 1944) when the city was bomb out (mistake) by the Army Air Force.
The target is not the 99th Regiment but the Army Air Force's Mission over Malmedy.
Thanks
Gunter

Re: Pre 1941 Parachute Units

Hi all, Does anyone know if the British or French had any parachute units prior to the formation of the 1st Airborne Division by the British in 1941? Any help would be appreciated, thanks John K In facts : (extracted from my book Airborne 1940-1945) The French had 2 PIB before the 1940's. They were...

Sten was a piece of junk compared to the Thompson. But, considering Britain's straitened circumstances, it was probably a wise choice. The sten was just a bullets burner ... this mean that when the British Army had to fight about the Italian Army somewhere in North Africa, the British quitted runni...

Re: The Mechanics of Allied Terror Bombing

According to the video documentary Battlefield — Air War Over Germany , Fire-Bombing was a well planned science. The bombers sent against the target would consist of four distinct stages. The first to reach the target would drop massive 4,000 and 8,000 lbs. High Explosive bombs to crater the city s...

Re: Accuracy of a scene in the movie "Patton"

In the movie, there is a scene during the Allied advance through France in which two American columns are snarled up at an intersection. Patton jumps in, plays traffic cop, and gets the columns moving again. That got me thinking: Was this scene pure Hollywood or was there actually some point in the...

Re: USAAF B 17 and B 24 losses in the Med. 1943

Hello Gentlemen, are the aircratf Allied losses in the Med. since January until Sept. 1943 available? I'm pariculaury interested about the USAAF B-17 and B-24 losses.
