Feldgrau Author: Dénes Bernád

After a long absence, I returned to Feldgrau thanks to a reminder sent by Jason. This topic reminds me that I was recently asked about the books I wrote in the past 20+ years. Here is the updated list (taken from the introduction of the latest one, Magyar Warriors, vol. 1, to be published this year):

RE: place of death of RK-Träger Isidor Mayer?

According to his so-called Death Card, "RK-Träger Isidor Mayer (Oberjäger in einem Geb.-Jäg.-Rgt.) died in Transylvania (Hungary) on the 19th September 1944."

I am looking for the circumstances and place of his death.

Thanks,

Dénes

SS photo

Szervusz Pisti,

A high-resolution scan (with the 'descreen', or 'moire' feature turned on), including the source of photo, would be enough.
Is the name and rank of the SS soldier known?

Operation 'MargaretheI.'

Thanks, Sid, for the details. I included some of them in the manuscript. It's always nice to let knowledgeable people read the text prior to publication ('peer review'), as there are errors and lacking information that cannot be picked up by the author. Returning to the original topic, is it known i...
