Re: Ju-52 /3m Wasser

They could have sent more if they were wont to do so. Bolting on a couple floats no big deal. Ones supplied to Canada in 1936 were set up for floats.

The Ju 52/1m was able to land on wheels, skis or floats.(*)

Anyone have data on this British sub?

Name, date, circumstances etc.

In 1940, two Arados managed to attack a crippled British submarine, inflicting enough damage to prevent it from submerging, and enabling the Kriegsmarine to close in for the capture.

Agree on Norway & arctic convoys. 1st 110 ships got through from 41 til may 42 with only one loss. Not very good for either Luftwaffe or Kriegsmarine.

& remote controlled mini planes loaded with explosives. But then, that would be more Luftwaffe. These were used in Italy, but were they used in France?

Out of artillery range. I didn't think they had any. They did have the Destroyers & Cruisers though with their rather impressive range. Tanks are gonna have to go pretty far inshore to get out of range of those. & man for man Brits would likely have a huge numerical advantage. 14 yr old kids...

Your alternative to the Z plan.

I'd say jeep carriers, Pocket battleships & loads of U-boats. & more disguised Raiders. They would be not so costly.

Number of fighter designs, German vs Japanese

Who had the better idea regarding this? Japan with 9 or so fighters, Jack, Zero, Frank, Tony, Oscar, Tojo, KI 100, George ( prop ones that is ), to Germany's 2. 2 & 1/2 if one counts the Dora. Main ones I mean, not prototypes or ones that saw limited numbers entering the fray. Somewhere in the m...

But the ships were sent to France, all but 2 making the trip. "Having met with Nordmark, still towing the rapidly deteriorating Duquesa, on February 15, the prizes were sent home, except for the newest catcher, Pol IX, which was re-named Adjutant, and retained as an auxiliary minelayer. All the...

Blockade runners & raider prizes added to the material situation, the Norwegian whaling fleet being perhaps the biggest prize/contribution. The U-boats were not as successful, but still brought in 6-800 tons?

Well, if Rogge did find any used currency, I doubt he would've told too many about it. Flat currency makes sense.

Some countries updated their currency after the war, which may make moving older stuff dificult. Don't know enough about it to say with certitude.

Raider Atlantis books. How many?

Over the years I have run into several different titles & versions of this story. Sea raider Atlantis, Under 10 Flags, German Raider Atlantis, Raider ship 16, & the new expanded latest one.

So out of curiosity, anyone have a complete list?
