Re: British records of German POWs
I mentioned once before that I saw a movie based on a true event where American and German soldiers spent a Christmas Eve together. Not their idea, but they all respected the wishes of a German mother to do so in her home. One of the Americans pulled something out of his pocket and a German medal fe...

Re: I thought some of you might be interested in this
What a lovely idea. I can't see the British Government allowing such a thing. I bet your parents were thrilled. Jacky The funny thing is whenever we have done this for someone they never use the stamps. They usually frame the stamps. As I mentioned these are licensed by the Federal Government and a...

Re: digital coloring
Dear Larry,
I am going to say it again, WELL DONE and you really have a gift and talent for doing this. It truly is a form of art, believe me.
I wouldn't be able keep in the lines if I tried to color like we did as a children.
Your work looks so natural and correct you should be proud.

Re: I thought some of you might be interested in this
This is the stamp I had made for their Wedding Anniversary.
As I said you could have a Unit, a father, friend, a tank, sub, favorite plane or whatever made into a legal US postage stamp.

I thought some of you might be interested in this

I had a set made for my parents Wedding Anniversary and one sheet of my fathers' Air Corp Patch. I used Zazzle.com they...

Re: digital coloring
This is another example of very early efforts to colorize military photographs. Again I only post this that one can truly appreciate how far we have come and what an outstanding job you have done.

Stealth Subs of the German Navy in World War II
National Geographic had this on last fall or winter, it is amazing how much there is out there to learn. The German Sub Fleet was actively working on and had designed Stealth Subs that could not be detected. On June 23, 2010 they are going to again broadcast this special. This link will take you to...

Re: 1945 US SUBMARINE: No Mercy for Shipwrecked Japanese
I have included the link to this site, I have read a good number of the entries. If you do yourself you will find that terrible murders and abuses were committed by all the military units and governments involved in World War Two, all of them. Allied and Axis both were responsible during the war and...
