Schirrmeister (or more civilian Stallmeister) = riding master - so you find this term also in all horse drawn units (where it comes from).
Schirr or Geschirr = horse harness.

The word Schirrmeister is still in use in some Bundeswehr or Police units, but not official.

Steckschuss = a bullet, still stucking into a bone

Rohrvorholer = automatic device to move the gun barrel into the forward (ready) position.

From ´34 up to ´45 it means Rural Police and in some small citys they were the Metropolitan Police Force too.

In wartimes the Gendarmerie was divided into the civilian Gendarmerie and the Feldgendarmerie as a Military Police.
