German units in British Army

Hey everyone, I have been reading a book about the British army and came across a unit of German soldiers who served at Waterloo under Wellington. They are not as specific as I would like the author to be, and I was wondering if anyone had heard of them. They had many names, but the most popular was...

Hey DAK, Welcome to our little forum. Please do not encourage him. We have collectively boycotted FOGGM because of his posts, and therefore just ignore him. If you answer any of his posts or egg him on, he will just stay. We cannot kick him out, per se, but we can ignore him. So, just some advice......

Yeah, I don't think the Japanese would have been very successful if they had tried taking on the Russians. The effort probably would have bogged down and would have diverted necessary troops from positions more critical to their missions in the Pacific. The move may have been a "diversion"...

Hey guys, The funniest one I have heard so far...and kinda fits in the forum. I heard it from a buddy of mine in basic training. -Why are there trees lining the Champs elesie in Paris? -Because the Germans like to march in the shade. I know I messed up the spelling, but I admit I haven't mastered th...

Hey Dub,

We have been putting up with his posts for a while. He will just not go away. We all have decided to ignore him and his posts and go on with our lives. I hope you do the same...and come join us in the real world with out Fan. You are right, though. He does need a woman. he he

Guys, Ignore Fan, but also ignore Jagdtiger. He's from the People's Democratic Republic of California, which is not really part of the US. No, we aren't talking about the Bush administration or this country. We are talking about India. This is SUPPOSED to be a non-political forum, but I guess you fo...

Rules of Engagement- Manuals or memorandums

Hey all, I would hate to start a topic that has already been flogged to death before...but I haven't seen anything like it yet. Was there a manual or a memo from higher HQ determining Heer rules of engagement during the war. If there was, I would assume it changed every five minutes. There were also...

Hey Tom, If I could follow you, I would switch from army to the marines and would make you my 1st sergeant, or whatever you guys have. Just don't hold your guys back. Take down the mosque if you have to. Negotiations waste time. The best way to end standoffs is 1) Go in and 2) kill them. Enough said.

I gotta tell you guys, my head hurts every time I see he has posted on this website again. Fan, like you all say, has no capacity to understand military tactics or even the basic fundamentals of doctrine. He makes statements that show how ignorant he is about anything related to military matters. Hi...

Fan, We don't want you to leave the states...just stop posting idiotic questions if you have no sources or no experience. You have seen enough video? So you really haven't been there? You haven't gone out on a patrol in Najaf? You have seen video that the media WANTS you to see, portraying us as wea...

Fan, Okay...you are not anti-American, but you sure aren't friendly to us. I will leave it at that. As far as the numbers in Najaf. I don't care about the numbers. Give me 500 marines and a green light to go into Najaf with a free hand and loose ROE (rules of engagement) and I would stop the insurge...

Fan...let me tell you something. I was in Iraq for OIF (operation Iraqi Freedom) and a little afterwards. Again...you need to stop watching Michael Moore movies, because you are WAY off. There were not as many desertertions as the leftist, communist propaganda you are drooling over. Anything to make...
