Interesting replies

Some interesting replies I must say..so there is no hope for me then Achilles? Sorry I asked a question! When did I question the actual existence of Treblinka (I just said there seemed to be alot of survivors, that was all, from a book that I had read). Being willing & able to seek out different...

Hero.

A brave man, a hero one might say...a huge contrast to his father, who got what he deserved

Gas Chambers & Death Camp Survivors

One thing that I am very curious about is that quite a few books I have read (maybe from less reliable sources, you might say) seem to imply that every concentration camp in Germany & Poland had gas chambers & cremation ovens when it was my belief that these only existed in the "known d...

Brave

They were both brave soldiers, it would be good to hear things from their perspective; I find some of the most interesting books in the genre are the ones written by people who were participants in the war, so have real life experiences of what it was like to fight for one of the most successful &am...

It is like anything that you read; some places you will find ifo that says the WAFFEN SS did this or that massacre & in others, you will find totally different accounts. I find it extremely interesting reading accounts by veterans, who fought in the war; these may just give you an insight into t...

I have also read that the move to gas came through wanting to be "more humane", not to the victims but to the killers! The effects of shooting (especially women & children) at close quarters was having a huge effect on the moral, of the men so another less stressful method was sought. ...
