Fantastic news Mark. I hope the book is available very soon. Is the publisher taking any pre-orders now?

All the best with the future volumes. It is a must have series for anyone interested in the Waffen-SS.

Great story and great picture Mark.

The way you go about your research, all the places you've been to obtain information and all the people you've met would make an excellent book in itself.

Many thanks,
Peter

I am the proud owner of all of Mark's books detailed above plus one more. That is the monograph Mark did back in 1986, titled 'SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer und Generaloberst der Waffen-SS PAUL HAUSSER 1880 - 1972'. I obtained it via Fedorowicz over 20 years ago and I think it was, correct me if I'm wrong...

I agree with all those comments. A great guy and a great researcher. Jason is one of four researchers/authors (ie: Mark Yerger, Hugh Page Taylor & Marc Rikmenspoel) whereby as soon as I hear/read they are bringing out a new book I'll put in a pre-order to buy it as soon as possible. You'll alway...

I have found John's research invaluable. I am a very proud owner of his book on the Signal Officers and also his Führerliste CDs. John's generousity in sharing information and always providing that bit more to whatever you ask him is second to none. Furthermore whenever I note that John has posted s...

Hi Sid, I believe your points apply to any person (veteran, politician, etc. etc.). All people, from whatever persuation, when interviewed and/or written about, defend their personal reputations, sel-selecting, would never under-sell their story and would try to be selective as to who can interview ...

Michael, With all due respect I do not believe you know what you are talking about. I have been reading all I can on personalities of the W-SS for over 20 years. If your above post relates to books by the likes of Butler, Quarrie, Williamson, Ailsby, then I totally agree with you In regard to all th...

A MUST HAVE BOOK

Anyone who has a serious interest in the Waffen-SS and German history in general must buy Mark Yerger's latest Book : Volume 2 German-Cross Holders of the SS and Police (Bender Publishing). It is something special. I find it hard to believe how someone can go into so much detail with what must be ex...

Obersturmführer (dR) Dr. Karl Bockhorn

Bockhorn was the Regimental Surgeon of the SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 6 (Totenkopf). Does anyone have photos and details about this officer? Any information would be welcome. My interest is not just about the charges he raised against hios Divisional Commander (Helmuth Becker). Many thanks, Peter

Another great book by this author/publisher

I just received my book: "An Infantryman in Stalingrad" and I highly recommend it to all. Stalingrad and the campaigns in 1942 was not really a priority field of interest to me as I thought it's already been well covered with many books I read many years ago. However I have been proven ple...

New Books - Recommended

There's either a drought or a downpour. In the last few weeks I've received four books I very highly recommend. In no particular order they are: - "Joachim Peiper" by Jens Westemeier This is the second edition (updated). A warts and all bio on Peiper. However it is in German. - "Unifo...
