Max Eggeling moved down from Dänemark togehter with the Battle group "Dänemark", of whom he be the commander.
What unit he served before I could not tell.

I´m looking for any further bio in March 1945 of Max Eggeling, who was commander of the battle group "Dänemark" in the Remagen bridgehead.
Any little coment would be very welcome!
Also any award he had received in his military career.

I would welcome any map availble - ok, just better the maps with annotations of the commanders, but its so hard to find a map, I take anything!

Maps used by the american infantry division in 1945
Can somebode help to find maps in scale 1:25000 or 1:50000 concerning the area of the remagen bridgehead and the ruhr pocket?

I don't know who Kurt Schwerdt is, but the most logical assumption would be this could be Schwerdt's Divisionskommandeur.
